Business Development Manager – Mil/Aero connector and cable – AZ or Dallas

Responsible for Mil/Aero sales, including key account sales responsibility, in the territory. Manage a team of independent sales reps to provide extended coverage across the region and collaborate with distribution partners. Promote technologies within the Aerospace and defense industries.

Responsibilities
• Drive sales growth of cable and connector products in the Mil/Aero market.
• Direct key account development and sales responsibility. Experience selling to the major military primes beneficial.
• Develop and manage key program and sales opportunities in the territory
• Coordinate with a team of other complementary direct Business Dev. Managers
• Generate customer quotations and proposals – working w/ Engineering, and Programs
• Collaborate with engineering on custom product solutions
• Manage expectations between customers and the company on lead times and expedites.
• Provide regular forecasting and pipeline updates
• Make decisions to support sales and grow the business
• Territory Travel

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree with a focus on business management or engineering preferred
• Minimum 5-years' experience in an outside sales environment
• Application knowledge, including Aeronautics, Missile Systems, Space, Electronic Warfare, Radar, and Ground Combat Vehicles
• Familiar with establishing and managing a sales rep network
• Experience with interconnect products, coaxial cable or related products
• Comfortable discussing the technical requirements of electrical/mechanical products
