Principal Electrical Engineer – Manchester, NH - Mil-Spec power supplies
We are seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead the design, development, and implementation of complex electrical systems for our global product lines. This role is critical in driving innovation, ensuring regulatory compliance, and mentoring junior engineers, while collaborating with cross-functional teams across R&D, manufacturing, sales, and supply chain. The Principal Electrical Engineer will define technical strategy, influence product architecture, and ensure robust, scalable, and manufacturable electrical solutions.
Responsibilities
• Lead the design and development of electrical circuits, systems, and components for new and existing products.
• Lead and mentor electrical engineers and technicians.
• Design Power Converter Form spec for verification.
• Support failure analysis and root cause investigations of electrical issues in development and production.
• Collaborate with mechanical and software engineers on cross-functional product teams.
• Lead design reviews.
• Evaluate new components, technologies, and design methodologies for continuous improvement.
• Participate in customer-facing technical discussions and support key strategic programs as needed.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in electrical design and product development, including system-level design responsibility.
• Experience with regulatory compliance testing, certification processes, and documentation.
• Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design, power electronics, and embedded systems.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or a permanent resident.
• Experience with power conversion, battery systems, or industrial control systems.
